Product Description and Specs

Not many other kayak seats offer the total comfort that the FeelFree KingFisher Kayak Seat does. Its unique construction controls the degree of flex laterally without putting pressure on the sensitive lower areas of the body. A dedicated conjure lumbar cushion gives the extra support in the lower back area. An internal skeleton retains shape and comfort for hour after hour with no adjustment. The seat will not sag or collapse with continual use.

I love this seat. I've used it in open water in the Gulf off Florida a lot, some lakes, and a resevoir. I use the seat for about 6 -8 hours per trip and it's very comfortable with nice support. I have it installed in a Field and Stream Eagle Talon SOT kayak. It looks right, feels right and is worth the extra money. It makes this Kayak better. I needed support from customer service and the service at ACK went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. I am now a loyal customer. I highly reccomend this seat and this site for purchase.

I have had this seat for 6months and it "broke". Let me say first I am very hard on my equipment. I go yak'n 2-3 times per week in tough fishing conditions. The problem with this seat is that because the back straps do not go all the way around the back rest a "bulge" or big "crimp" happens right in the lumbar area of your back. Once this happens from wear, there is no fixing it. I bought a Summit seat and it works great.

When I ordered this seat for my eagle talon 12 I was very excited. The seat looked very comfortable. However, when I used it for the first time I was so disappointed. The back of the seat has there logo on it. It seems like its gel filled. The place where they put it sticks you in the spine like a knife. If it wasn't for the logo I would really like this seat, but as soon as you lay back on it the torture begins. The part you sit on is comfortable, but the back rest is a nightmare. They ruined a perfectly good seat by placing there hard logo in the middle of the backrest. Feels like a rock in your back. For the price I paid I'm very disappointed. Will not recommend this seat and will be replacing it.

Top Question & Answer
Q: I have a pelican castaway 116. Could you tell me if this seat would work? Or any recomendations
A: This seat should work for most kayaks. The only retro-fitting that may need to occur would be the placement of pad eyes on your deck to clip the seat to. However, I see that on your kayak these pad eyes are already in-tact.

Q: i have a new field & stream eagle talion 120 sit on top fishing kayak will this seat fit and if so will i need to install any extra hardware
A: Since we do not carry that brand, I can not say for certain that it will work. However, this is a universal seat, so you should be able to use it. It does not appear that you would need any extra hardware to install it.

Q: Is this seat suitable for sit inside kayaks. I have a Jackson Journey and the existing seat tortures my back.
A: Thanks for your question! Unfortunately we do not sell Jackson kayaks, so we do not have any available in our warehouse to physically check this. However, the dimensions of the seat are 17 x 14 inches for the bottom, and 20 x 19 inches for the backrest. If this fits the dimensions of your intended seating area, you'll be able to use the seat, even in a sit-inside kayak. Do note, however, that the backrest is not very flexible. You may also need to retrofit the kayak with padeyes to attach the seat to your Journey if it does not already have this set up.
