Product Description and Specs

When out on the water you may feel the need to stand up to fish and sit down to paddle. Then again, you may want to do the opposite. The Diablo Adios Kayak is inspired by the stability of a stand-up paddleboard and the maneuverability of a sit-on-top kayak combined to create a very unique and versatile watercraft. The stability of the Adios can be attributed to its wider body that also allows it to handle a weight capacity of 400 pounds. Because of this a longer than paddle is recommended. One of the greatest features of the Adios is the ability of it to get into shallower water than most kayaks thanks to the Tri-Hull design, so you can fish those out-of-the-way places your buddies can only talk about.

Overall a pretty decent kayak. Takes a little getting used to standing up fishing in though, could be a little tippy. Easy to paddle and can take on some fairly rough water.

I kept the first advertisement that I ever saw for the Adios on my desk for over a year before I finally pulled the trigger! I am more than pleased with my choice. I have been fishing from kayaks for 15 years, and own several. The Adios is exactly what it claims. Having a sit-on-top fishing kayak that you can walk around on like a john boat really is the best of both worlds. I gave the Adios 5 stars because i was mentally prepared for what I was purchasing. I had my rigging and accessories already planned out. The only deductions that I can give the Adios not its fault. It does what it claims to do. However, at a steady paddle, it is not super quiet. It has some hull slap, and the scuppers gurgle quite a bit. Thats not a slam...it is what it is. Ill trade a little noise for the stability. And, if you paddle offshore, even one footers are going to come over the bow. Be prepared for that if you are putting yourself in that kind of situation. Please dont take those previous comments as complaints. I have no complaints about the boat, and ACK, as always, did an awesome job of shipping from Texas to Virginia. Everything was trackable and on schedule, and my kayak arrived at my house well packaged and damage free. I cant say enough good things about the Diablo Adios or ACK. Keep up the good work, and thanks again. Ron Romanosky Richmond, Va. 08/06/2012

Q: I am interest in the Diablo Adios and would like to put a Torqeedo 403 trolling motor on it . My question is can that be done ? I am looking forward to your upcoming demo weekend in San Marcos on April 9th and 10th too .
A: There is not a kit made for that application but it can definitely be done via a track and motor mount: http://www.austinkayak.com/products/9775/Harmony-Motor-Mount-for-Canoes.html
