Received my Topwater PDL from Austin Kayak in Sept & have fished in it every weekend since. Going from a paddle kayak to pedal has been a game changer. Most notably fishing windy days are no longer a frustrating struggle, I can pedal forward & reverse with occasional touch of the rudder knob to stay in place. When it's fish on I can peddle in reverse to keep from being pulled into brush, trees or worse into the honey hole scattering other fish. A huge factor in why I chose the Topwater PDL was the size & weight. Unlike other pedal kayaks I can easily car top this on my 4 Runner all by myself for easy transport. It's tight, fast, stable and most of all fun. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Old Town Topwater PDL Kayak, It is a good stable kayak, plenty of room, I'm 6'4", 215 lbs. I ordered it 9-24-18, received it 11-20-18. It took 14 days to deliver it from Austin to my house 47 miles away. The seat is very comfortable,, the paddle holder works well. The track system is nice, but it could use one on the port -aft. A standard carrier doesn't fit well with the hull design, but it was remedied with a couple of carpet cover 3" pieces of PVC mounted to the carrier. This boat will fit my needs in fresh and saltwater. The cord on the seat latches can be taped to the seat bar, keeping them functional, and secure, while the cord isn't hanging in the way. It took awhile to get the kayak, but I think it was worth the wait. Maybe you another book on the order form - "will pick-up". Thank-you, Terry

Q: Does the fish finder in the promotion have to be purchased separately?
A: The fish finder does not need to be purchased separately as it is free of charge, although it is needed for you to submit the mail in rebate form and cover the shipping from old town to your home for the fish finder, and that cost is $9.95.
