Great fishing kayak! I'm a big guy (6'1"& 350 lbs.) and I've been looking at this kayak for the last few years and finally bought it a couple months ago and I absolutely love it! If your looking for a kayak that can handle a lot of gear and weight this one is for you! Can't wait to use it this duck season also!
After having this for a year these are my thoughts. Number one is that if you are under 6ft tall and over about 275 then the only seat position your going to be able to realistically use is the low position. I have brought this up on the owners forum and it seems to be a common issue with this kayak in that it just does not have anhardl;y any primary stability and its a wide arc to the secondary stability. Now ordinarily this would be expected except Ocean markets this kayak for heavier anglers. Thats not to say I don't enjoy the yak its just I bought it so I could stand up and fish. In the low position the kayak has excellent stability and is fine. It has excellent mod potential due to the plate system and works really well with the scotty 4" low pro tracks the 8" are too long for them.Like others have said your not going to win any races on one of these and for me I added outriggers to make the kayak even more stable which added drag. All in all its a good Kayak for fishing and I think its the best for both worlds as far as inshore fishing and bass fishing but just understand that forces a compromise on the stability side.
This product is great!
This is one of the best boat I’ve ever bought I weigh 400 pounds it holds no issues very stable in the water. The seat is very comfortable. This boat even being as wide as it is glides through the water no issues. Lots of room for upgrades and upgrade options. This boat is a very hefty boat and is some work to get on the top of a vehicle but definitely worth it. Customer service was very good and shipping was crazy fast I had my boat with in two weeks of ordering. Only down side is for the price it doesn’t come with a paddle but that’s no big deal. Definitely recommend this boat to anyone.
