All I can say is Wow! Folks at OLD TOWN knocked it outta tha park with this one. I got the 126 Loon Angler in dark camouflage ,Love the ample cockpit space, searched long and far to get the Most stable sit in boat out there. The 126 LOON is THE ONE! Im 6ft, 220lb, my last yak was a perception swifty 9.5 ,good little yak but not for my weight. The Loon is rated for 450lbs. It easily carries me and 40lbs of cargo without ever feeling tippy. For such a wide craft, it does well, It won't win any races against a more "speed tuned "boat But I got it for Recreation Paddling and it does it with style, and comfort. The seat is second to none, and I might add, it is lite enough for me to "shoulder" from truck to launch . It tracks perfectly straight, has no problem with oncoming waves from party barge traffic on our local lake. Im 56 and have found a new passion for paddling because of this sure tracking "cruiser". MY wife seldom turns it over to me when we're out together, so There will be a second Loon in the family shortly. And side by side it just glides compared to the Swifty.I find myself paddling like heck to keep up with my wife and the Loon. The Boat arrived in about 7 days, all wrapped up, Just writing this makes me want to go stare at it! The Only Regret You'll have is having Not gotten it Sooner!
The Old Town Loon 126 is my first kayak, and so far so good! While it came in weeks rather than days as the website promised, it still came to my door, in perfect condition, and even prettier than the photo. Adding the PFD and paddle kept things thrifty, easy, and allowed me to immediately get in the water. I've taken it out several times since and couldn't be happier. The only reason I deducted a star is because the delivery time didn't jive with website promises. Still, I would have purchased it here anyway because the price was right (especially considering the package option) and other than that the service was great.
