Skwoosh Extreme Kayak Seat Pad Cushion

Great product. Comfortable sitting on a four day kayak trip

I have an Ocean Kayak, Venus 11 with a good seat, but after 3-4 hours of paddling, my back side was getting sore and falling asleep. I used the Skwoosh Extreme Kayak Seat Pad Cushion on my last 4- hour paddle and, voila!, no more sore backside!! It doesn't look like it would make that much difference, but it made paddling much more comfortable and fun. Since I didn't want to lose my new pad if I capsized or in carrying my kayak around, I also purchased the Skwoosh Kayak Seat Cushion Tether (it's only $4), which worked great to secure it to my existing seat. My reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I think the pad should come with the tether.

Defintely made my kayak seat more comfortable without raising me up to high to comfortably paddle.

I use this cushion sitting on bleachers watching school ball games,I use to carry a small pillow,this is so much better.I love it.works where it should.

should have bought it years ago. I am a kayak fisherman and will stay out longer than I should when they're biting. Usually, I'm a bit stiff when I finally get out the the yak. The last 2 trips I've felt good - I attribute it to the cushion!

A little small for me. I am 6'1" and weigh 200lbs. Doesnt really stay put well but some velcro took care of that. It doesn't make as big of a difference as I had hoped. It is not unusual for me to fish 5- 6 hrs at a time without getting up and I was hoping it would be better than it is.

Did the trick. Allowed several hours of continious seat time without my bottom end going numb. Don't let the thickness fool ya, it really does work well. It appears to be constructed well also.

I have severe spinal problems including severe sciatica and are having spinal surgery very soon. I was able to go on a 5 hour kayak trip because of this seat pad cushion and even use it every day and every where I sit except bed.

good but wish it was thicker. I almost wish I had 2

just what I needed to add a little more padding on my back side...I spend 8-10hrs at a time fishing and needed this..lol

This seat pad is amazing. The pad is small, but it has a big impact on my comfort when kayaking. It conveniently folds in half to store with my other gear in my fishing crate. The gel really relieves my legs and behind from going to sleep when fishing for hours. Just try it and you will see how much more enjoyable the water can be.

The Skwoosh pad is a great design. It stays in place during use and makes a big difference in paddling comfort. I really like it.

I use the cushion in the car, as well as the kayak. It makes trips - both long and short - more comfortable.

Despite how thin this cushion is, it is fantastic! I like that it is portable. I have used it on a picnic table, bench seat, and bleacher seats also!

Installed this on my NDK Romany due to sciatica. I can paddle an extra hour or two and it has not affected the stability or fit.

This product is like all the other thin pads out there. I thought with the name like Skwoosh that it would actually do that, but it didnt. I was looking for something the thickness of bicycle gel pad seats and this wasnt it. I would need about three pads to make it work well.

Just ordered/used this pad--- its wonderful! Small,lightweight,folds for storage but,best of all,is extremely comfortable & works great!!

This pad REALLY makes a noticeable difference! With out it, my rear began to ache around the 1 1/2 to 2 hour point. With it, no ache until the 3 1/2 to 4 hour point and by then I am ready to get out of my kayak anyway. IT JUST WORKS!

Used it for 6 hrs straight. My rear never fell better!

Although the seat is fairly small in depth, it has has made kayak fishing a lot more comfortable.

mmmm....by the sound of the name...I thought it would be like jelly...and well...skwooshy. I would welcome the softness on my seat bone....but alas... it just sits there flat and solid. Am I supposed to do something to get it skwooshy?? soak it? heat it? This pad has no skwoosh what so ever...so it really does nothing for me...could it be dried up? sometimes silicon does that.......sorry..."(

This does exactly what it's supposed to: reduce pressure and add comfort. You really notice the benefits after a couple of hours of paddling. Highly recommended.

I have a Sprinter from Ocean Kayak. It's a plastic version of a surfski. I am 140 pounds at 5'7" so I am pretty skinny and my bony butt cannot take sitting on the bare plastic at all. This seat has just enough cushion to keep me pain-free away while keeping my center of gravity low. I actually made a mat to place under this seat out of the anti-fatigue mat that they sell at harbor freight. I used this seat as a template. It gives me just a little more comfort not that it needs it, but more importantly it puts me a little higher on the seat which helps with my stroke. I would highly recommend this seat for anyone that gets pain on ther sitz bones and that doesn't want extra bulk that may raise them up too high.

Great little pad, very portable, IF you only need a little padding and can't handle the extra height of the classic. It is too thin for me, wish I had ordered the classic.

We like the seat's so much!And as the site say's,We didn't have a problem with our legg's or butt falling a- sleep! Evan though,we are new to the sprot,the cushioned seat pad is very good for us. Thank You

Delighted with all items for my Ocean Kayak. Seat is stiffer and forms better around my back causing less leg fatigue. Cushion adds more comfort as well to my GF's kayak. Complete satisfaction here.

Really helps with the sitter. Thin so it doesn't add much height. I glued some velcro on two edges to keep in in place.

Seat works well from me. I am small frame, 133 lbs and contrary to another review of this product, I don't find the padding too thin. Kayaking for many years, I am very sensitive to every little change. I do feel like I am sitting slightly higher and glad that I did not buy something any thicker.

I was skeptical, seeing how thin the pad was, but in use it made a tremendous difference in my comfort. After an all-day paddling excursion and an all-day pedaling excursion on my Hobie Outback I had little to none of the discomfort I have experienced prior to the pad's use. I use it with my standard seat padding; it's a welcome addition!

I had one of these before for my surf ski, failed to lash it by the handy retaining loop, picked up the ski and lost the cushion. Bought another, which says how much I liked it. It arrived practically the next day.

Not so good in the comfort department. Better than sitting on the kayak plastic directly, but most boat seats work just as well for comfort. TekPad gel is just too thin. Suggest you look at thicker pad or inflatable pads if comfort is important. Does stay put in a variety of circumstances. Very light. Not really comfortable.

Looks thin, but don't tell my butt. After 17 miles on the Mississippi River last weekend I was, unbelievably, not sore.

Just purchased this for my Tarpon 120. Have not had a chance to try it out on an all day trip but appears to help when trying it in the garage. Not extremely thick but appears to do the job. Agree that a backrest pad would be nice as well.

I like the bright color, highly visible. Safety cord should be included, but any line will do. I expected more of a whoosh, when sitting down. It is comfortable, especially for boats with only a hard barebone plastic seat. Should have a matching back available.

Very thin, on paddles more than 2 hours, seems like not much padding. Short trips would work well, stores easy, stays in place, thicker would have been better especially for the price!

Had my doubts when my wife ordered this for me but I'd been having trouble with my feet going to sleep and my legs cramping while kayaking. The Skwoosh has cured both problems and given me better posture when paddling. It's a great product and even works in the fishing boat!

I expected it to provide a little more padding. Not much more than the regular seat pad. Non-slip backing does keep it in place.

Love this cushion. Folds in half and stores easily in my gear bag. Just enough gel to support my bottom.
