Scupper plugs are not actually needed at all, unless you are approaching the weight capacity of your kayak. The scupper plugs will add some buoyancy to the kayak in those cases. A lot of people do like to use them directly under the seat though. So if you\'d like to do that, then you will only need two of them. We recommend these for your kayak:
