Rather nice compromise boat for slow to moderate creeks or rivers.
Tracks much better than the average rec boat, reasonably stable,
handles okay/not great. Very smooth, does well in moderatlely rough
water. Solid construction, comfortable seat. this boat has nice top-
end speed and can take a beating, too. There a re two bulkhead
hatch areas with plenty of storage room, though they aren't truly
waterproof. Boat floats when tipped over. Comfortable enough for
an overnighter.

My Perception Carolina 12 is my fourth kayak in the past fourteen
years. The twelve foot length and the weight is easy to load on my
Exterra. The Carolina 12 tracks great and turns effortlessly. I use
a Werner Camano paddle for my day trips on the lake. Plenty of
storage and is just basically a downright blast to paddle. This is a
very stable kayak for beginners. Highly recommend. The Yakima
HandRoll and DeckHand carriers I purchased from ACK secures the
kayak to my factory crossbars with ease. Also recommend the
Yakima SKS locks for security.

The picture shown isn\'t completely laced, the handles are both centered when the boat is readied. The bow and stern both are symmetric, but in the image, the stern side is shown with one rope not attached to the handle which makes it appear less centered.
