I have had the kayak for about a year or so now heres what I have experienced with it.
Pros
Supper stable
Easy to maneuver
Cruising speed is around 3.4 mph, Top speed 4.8mph any faster you feel cavitation.
The seat sits high you can see alot and easy to cast from.
It is water tight have had it out on a lake in choppy conditions had no water in the haul.
Lots of room for gear behind the seat.
It is solid you dont feel flex when standing on it and im 6'3'' 240lbs
Cons
My biggest complaint is the seat its horrible the location of the bars will kill your crack and right under the shoulder blades. Attach pads to it.
They kayak is supper heavy even with a Ctug it makes steep boat ramps a challenge.
The front of the haul seems soft it got scuffed up pretty quick i put a piece of PVC on it to prevent holes.
Overall the kayak is great for fishing I have had a blast in it. I just dread loading it back up cause im usually gassed from being out on the water for 6hrs.

My favorite Plano tackle boxes, perfect size for stowing alongside or beneath a Kayak seat. Good capacity and options for comoartment sizes. The holes in the entire box which allow air flow for drying lures/flies are great--I have been drilling holes in these boxes for years so I am glad to find them pre-drilled. Also, the latches are secure but a lot easier to manage than those locking ones on the waterproof boxes. Great price from ACK, and I have ordered more!

I have had my Top Water for a while now and I can tell you this is a damn stable yak. Surf launch and recovery was almost easy on a day we shouldn,t have gone out. Large area for crab gear and no issues fishing in the less than ideal seas. The only limits are MY skill. The yak is well outfitted and just simple additions have been installed for the type of fishing I do. This is a little on the heavy side. I reccomend you spend a little more and get a good quality cart to get your gear to the beach. Fit and finish is excellent on my yak and I have had no negitive issues. Customer service with ACK was great. From ordering my yak, to eating a meal of fresh crab, this has been an excellent experience. Cant wait to get a good look at the new Salty model.
