Installed very easily on my kayaks each handle with 4 well nuts. The handle is just the right size, robust and flexible for ease of installation as well as for use.

Just what I needed.

perfect replacement for my Ocean Kayak Trident. Drilled out the center of the old rivets, removed the old handles, the new ones lined up perfectly with the previous rivet holes, dropped 8 new rivets in, gave them a few squeezes, and viola! operational side handles.

Well designed and constructed. I opted to do the install using stainless bolts, washers and nut instead of the suggested rivets. I used a tapered head on the bolt to reduce the exposed profile, but that resulted in it pulling through the handle tab during use. I resolved the issue with a pan-head design bolt and a washer top-side.

These handles make moving your kayak much easier. They are easy to install, sturdy and are a great price.

The replacement handles look the same as the original handles which only lasted 2 years with light use. I am only giving 2 stars because I was hoping to see an improvement in the design. Note - - - I decided to use stainless steel machine screws and nuts with lock washers instead of the pop rivets. I think they will provide a more distributed surface and will definitely be easer to change when these handles pull apart.

1/3 of the price of the ocean kayak replacement handles. Works great, just like the originals.

Easy to install and do what they're supposed to do. They don't come with hardware, but that's actually not such a bad thing because it allows you to get the most appropriate screw length for where you're putting the handles. I bought stainless steel 10-32 screws and matching nuts.

The handles worked perfectly for replacemnt of my Ocean Kayak Prowler 15 that broken on me. Now it's allback in working order.

These Kayak Side Mount Carry Handles with End Buckles were perfect replacements on my RTM Tempo. I appreciate that the holes were not predrilled. That let me decide on the hole placement. I also added a Kayak Paddle Keeper Kit. I installed it on top of the end caps for the carry handles. Had to drill the holes out a smidgen on the paddle keeper to accept the stainless steel bolts from the Tempo. Great price, quick shipping.

Great quality and well built comfortable grips, strong durable. Serve the purpose as an aftermarket handle very well. Used them as a custom installation on a 2005 Hobie Kona and the handles hold the weight very well. Can be installed with bolts or kayak rivets, will not recommend to install with screws directly to boat hull, boat weight might pull screws off when handled.

First, ACK is awesome. Second, I bought these for a OK Prowler and the holes didnt match up. I was able to use them after enlarging the holes.

Handles were found via Internet research seeking a way to better load/carry my Old Town Dirigo XT 120. The pricing was reasonable and the handles were well made. On line instructions were clear and concise with installation taking less than a half hour ' positioning was critical, measure many times and drill once. I used stainless steel hardware that was ordered with the handles. Timely shipped ' overall a very positive experience.

Excellent fit for my 13ft Ocean Kayak.

Excellent product in general. Plastic end pieces with double attaching holes are superior to other types of soft carry handles. One issue of note is that the actual length can vary somewhat from handle to handle. Not a huge deal, but the manufacturer might want to tighten up their quality control in that regard.

Works great. Make sure to properly drill out old pop rivits or you'll mess up your boat pulling them out. I also suggest stainless bolts/nuts/washers instead of new pop rivets unless you have a pop rivet tool.

These were a direct replacement for the original handles on my Trident Prowler 13. I hope they last longer than the originals which were only used 4 times before one strap tore (garage kept since purchased new). I had to enlarge the holes in the handle mounts for the rivets during installation.

These handles are essential for lifting and getting your kayak up onto your shoulder for carrying. They are constructed well and look nice. I found the balance point on my kayak, marked the holes with a thin marker and then drilled the holes. I had to make/drill the holes already on the handles a bit larger, no big deal. I used stainless steel screws with stainless washers(on the inside)and lock nuts to secure them that are NOT included.

These are a must for older kayaks without any handles. I installed a pair on an older style Hobie SOT Tandem- worked great. Sold that one and did a second install on another older Hobie Oydessy Mirage. Can't even imagine trying to lift these kayaks without handles. Just read the ACK install tips first and take your time to find the center balance. Used with ACK pop rivets A +

Very rugged handles. The same as on my Ocean kayaks. Make sure to use washers on the inside so the rivet does not pull through. You can buy rivets at any hardware store as well as the rivet tool.Stainless steel bolts will work too.

Rivets for mounting can be very hard to find, depending on where you live, be sure to order FLAT HEAD rivets for mounting, as countersunk will not be a satisfactory installation.

These handles are exactly what I needed to help me get the kayaks on top of the car. They make it easier to lift them when your my age (63). Easy to mount too.

I installed these handles on my Ocean Scrambler XT. I looked at a Prowler Trident 11 today and these handles look exactly the same as the handles it comes with. They work great and the price is right.

Great handles. They bolted right up to the pre-made holes on my Prowlers and are of great quality and comfort. They really make out of water handling a lot easier. Highly recommended.

I am rigging my OK Scrambler 11 for saltwater bay fishing snook, speckled trout, and snappers(before the BP oil disaster hits us). The OK has the indentations for the handles. I also bought the rubber backed washers for added strength. I did drill holes slightly bigger for the riviets to fit. Very secure and much easier to transport kayak. ACK had the best price in town, customer service is excellent, fast, and efficient.

Mounting holes in handles didn't match up with factory holes on my OK Prowler Big Game (slightly off). Had to enlarge holes in handle mounts to make them fit. Wouldn't recommend doing so. If I had the chance to do over, I'd return handles and find an exact match. Otherwise great product and value.

I bought 2 pairs for my OK Scupper Pro TW and Frenzy. The handles are great and match those that came from the factory on my OK Venus. Installation was a breeze - particularly as OK marks the spots to drill and the handles match up perfectly. If you have an Ocean Kayak, you need these handles and installation is a breeze. If another brand then you just have to measure the kayak to determine the proper mounting location.

I'm with all the others in thinking that the kayak makers should install these when they manufacture the kayak. These handles are easy to install and work great, as I often have to carry my kayak by myself.

No need for washers on exterior. Placed behind your seat, it helps loading and unloading from your cartop

Works great on my Pelican kayak, that did not come with side handles. Installation is a snap. Unfortunately they did not come with well nuts, which I had to order separately from another company.Once installed they work great!

Great handles as long as they have the rubber ends on them. The Ocean drifter should come with them for no more than this cost. Had to change screws due to the ones ocean kayak had was plastic and broke while tighten them.

These are well made handles. I put them on my Pelican Kayak that didn't come with handles. These make it much easier to move around. The handles were really easy to install with rivets and are plenty strong.

They are great! But I don't know why they weren't on the kayak in the first place!

Great product which lets me handle my yak alone. (age 68) But, be careful where you place them. Center of balance is also just about center of paddle stroke on several yaks I have tried. Skinned knuckles result if handles are placed too high on the yak. What helps is to wrap handles,tightly, with good electrician's tape. That way if you rap a knuckle you just slide right along the handle.

I put one of these behind the seat in my Outback. It makes loading and handling the kayak much easier. Great product. If you've ever thought, "I wish I my boat had another handle right here...", then get one.

GREAT HANDLES!!!! These should have come on my 'Yak from the factory! They make getting my 'yaks on and off the rack and into the water WAY easier! They were worth every cent. Think long and hard about placement. On one of my 'Yaks I ended up mounting them in a spot where I constantly hit them with my hands while paddling. I got a nice split knuckle to remind me measure better when I mount them on the second 'Yak. Also, I had to drill out the holes a bit to get fasteners to fit thru. Not a negative point just a heads up.

These are an exact replacement for the handles on my wife's Caper and got me out of the dog house after I tore through her original one by using them as a tie-off point.

Great product. Excellent price. All you need is a rivet gun and some rivets. The tri-grip rivets work better. No self-respecting sit on top kayak should be without them. They make loading and unloading a yak onto your truck or yak rack so much easier. I will probably get another set just for a spare.

Very nice handles and easy to install. I installed two sets on my yak for added ease of transport. All you need is a rivet gun, rivets or screws(8), a drill gun, the right bit and about 15 minutes. I would recommend riveting one side and pulling the other side nice and tight before drilling the other set of holes. With constant use, the fabric will stretch a little bit so it's a good idea to install them as tight as you can get them. Make sense?
