The Hobie Trailer Tower gives additional mounting and storage options for your kayaks. The top of the Hobie Trailer Tower will accommodate an equipment box, and multi-kayak transport can be accomplished by leaning up to 4 kayaks (2 on either side) against the tower. The Hobie Trailer Tower also includes two mast/sail carriers for Hobie Island configurations. Tower arms are 30 in. long which will accomodate most Thule and Yakima cargo boxes and the distance between these arms is adjustable.

I have this rack and trailer. The sail hangers work well and the
tower is nice to hang things on BUT I put a Thule pod on top of the
rack and it made the trailer jerk from side to side as you bring the
trailer up to speed. I was never able to get up to highway speed
as the trailer pulled from side to side so violently I thought I was
going to roll it. This was with the pod empty. I took the pod of
and the trailer tracked perfectly.
