Hi, thanks for the question. Unfortunately if you were to remove the front handle on the Old Town Vapor 10 and tried to replace it with the Harmony Jam Cleat the mounting holes would not line up. As for the size rope that you can use in the Jam Cleat, I would recommend anything between a 1/4\" - 1/2\"
