I got a pair of these boots
after I stepped on a stonefish
in Guam. I was stung through
the side of my regular hard
soled booties. The Ray-Guard
Reef Boots are awesome. The
lower soles and sides are bullet
proof. I would highly
recommend them to anyone
who is wading around in
tropical waters, near reefs,
stonefish, rays, sea urchins.

I bought these for my husband for
Christmas. He likes them, but they do
run large. I had to return them for a
size smaller than he wears usually and
had to pay the return shipping for the too
large pair, even though I wanted an
exchange.

I have been wade fishing south west Florida waters for 60 years and
been slapped by a number of stingray tails but never stung. I have
also, however, talked to a number of fisherman who have been hit,
listened to them talk about the pain they experience until they could
get back, sometimes up to two hours. So I decided not to push my
luck any further and get a pair of boots. They are on the heavy side
compared to tennis shoes but the protection is worth it. Now I don't
wade fish without them.

The Boot does run fairly true to size. They are water resistant and will keep your feet dry., if the boot is under water there is a chance for water intrusion. If wearing them with waders, order a size up.

These shoes are sized in men\'s sizing so typically you will want a size smaller for fitting women. The smallest size we have in a size 6 and depending on if you have a wide foot or not a 6 should fit and leave some extra room in the toes. You can also get a NRS hydroskin sock to wear while wearing the boots to make the fit better.
