Care- Use a mild household cleaner to remove dirt and grit. To protect the surface from UV and avoid color fading you can apply a 303 protectant 2-3 times a year. Do not use petroleum based products or strong solvents as this will cause laminate damage.
Ideally keep your canoe stored inside, upside down on racks in a cool and dry environment. If stored outside it should also be upside down on racks and the wooden gunnels should never touch the ground. Avoid places exposed to ice and snow loads.
If stored outside, the manufacturer suggests unscrewing the screws from the deck plates over a distance of 36 inches without touching the seat hangers or thwarts to prevent cold-cracking.
