C-Tug Kayak Cart with Sandtrakz Wheels

Great product!!! Easy to assemble. Just what I wanted

The cart is very simple to take apart and put together takes a little bit trail and error to find the sweet spot on your kayak pulls through all different types of surfaces would buy again

I'm not a big fan of this C-tug cart I bought it for my Big fish 120, the kick stand is too week I tighten the screw as much as I could but it always gets loose and the cart falls forward, to get the kayak on it has to be a perfect landing, maybe its not good for the cathedral hull that the big fish has. I spend a lot on this cart and it did not impress me

Hobie should know that this product was hands down the worst product they ever made for the Pro Angler . To load from the water by yourself is almost embarrassing . If you don’t half way flip your boat you aren’t getting the cart in.. Will the Railblaza C Tug Work on the PA12 ?

This is a quality product. It will handle your kayak nicely if you need to move it from a staging area down to launch. I am giving 4 stars because I feel the price is high. I think that it should retail for around $100. Still for the price I paid, I'm glad I have it to use for my big fishing kayak. It makes loading and moving from point A to B much easier.

C-Tug with the Sandtrakz wheels is a great product for hauling heavier Yaks in the sand. I've got an Old Town Predator PDL which weighs 114lbs. The C-Tug w/ Sandtrakz works great!.

Super easy single strap to attach to kayak. Breaks down to fit into storage compartment of Wilderness Systems Pungo kayaks so no need to leave behind on beech. Great product!

As a follow up to my review, the cart is easily dissembled and stored in the hatch while using the kayak.

Built very well. Works great and is easily assembled and disassembled. I have a Wilderness 135 and the base just barely fits the shape of the boat. Has to be aligned exactly or the kayak will not sit level. Highly recommended. Built to last.

Have not used a lot in sand but certainly Sandtrakz wheels are better in sand than the standard wheels. The required pulling force is a bit harder on solid surfaces than with the standard wheels, and they take up a bit more storage space inside the kayak. The Sandtrakz are much quieter on solid surfaces and don't jostle the kayak on bumpy surfaces. So far it is good

It's awesome. Expensive, but worth it. I drag a 117 lb Predator PDL and it has made my life a lot easier. Dragging through the soft sand is still tough, don't get me wrong, but not as torturous as before. I especially like the kickstand, where you can place and position your kayak on the Ctug while it's upright. One of the best purchases I've made!

Excellent balanced kayak cart, however, I would not buy with the sea trakz wheels again as they tend to show heavy flat spots on the bottom, bottoming out to the main hub which makes it more difficult to transport over flat terrain.

The C-Tug is a good cart overall, but the Sandtrakz wheels are terrible for their intended purpose of beach launching your kayak. They work well on semi-rough terrain such as grass, small tree roots, and small rocks like you find along a shoreline. However, they are atrocious in soft sand and dig in with a fully loaded kayak (Native Slayer Propel 13). There's little difference between using the cart and just dragging your boat. Also, the taller diameter of the Santrakz renders the kickstand nearly useless.

Purchased the C-Tug with sandtrakz wheels for my 14' Hobie Pro Angler because the plug in wheels from Hobie did not balance the weight which made long walks to hard to reach waters difficult. I love the C-Tug in general. Very sturdy. The add said the wheels transition well from sand to hard bottom, which I took to mean they would work weldon both. However, I found that the Sandtrakz wheels made my home hard to pull over hard surfaces. I believe this was my fault for not understanding that they are for sand and maybe not the best option for hard surfaces. So I went ahead and ordered the standard wheels and now I have a complete system and I love it. The wheel pop on and off effortlessly so I can use the Sandtrakz for sand and the standard for concert, hard dirt, gravel, etc. and I'm good to go. Just find the balance point and wheeling my fully (over) loaded pro angler to any water is a breeze.

Although pricey, the product is well designed. I used it on a beach which had both coral rock pieces and in other sections sand. The wheels handled it well with my fully loaded kayak. The kickstand seemed a little awkward, but I think I have it figured out. The product is met my expectations.

I watched several videos of the C-Tug before purchasing prior to purchasing two. I am very happy with the lightweight and easy storage capability of the C-Tug. I bought the C-Tug with the sand wheels as I fish on fresh and salt water and the wheels do perform as promised. The only negative point about the C-Tug is the strap, which will work its way loose during kayak transport from Point A to Point B. I had to install snaps on my straps so they would remain secure during kayak transport. C-Tug will have a 5 star product once the loosening strap issue has been resolved. I highly recommend the C-Tug, it is a very good product.

We purchased this C-TUG to cart our kayaks thru sand on Sanibel island. It is a wonderful product and works great. The only criticism I have is that the strap adjustment is not adequate in that lengthening and shortening the straps sometimes is a problem. The strap is too long sometimes and it is difficult to adjust the strap where it attaches to the C-TUG. Needs to be more user friendly.

Ultimate kayak cart so far. The wheels are big, and the cart is sturdy. I don't know about putting inside the hatch though. It would fit most large kayak hatches when taken apart but I'd rather put it back in the car. I have used this with a 90 pound 20 foot double, up and down a hill and across sand -- no problem. 2 tips, place the cart in the center of the kayak and then it becomes weightless and easy to maneuver, both forward and back or turning 180 degrees. Also, the little clip that holds the wheeopens up rather randomly, but this is easily fixed with a mini carabiner. The Sandtrakz wheels are a brand new invention and really work well. If you have an older C-tug cart the new wheels will fit, but be sure they are the Sandtrakz brand. There is an imposter that looks like this product
