Been hauling kayaks for years. Currently have Truck Racks, a trailer and the T-Bone. Since getting the T-Bone I rarely use the trailer or the racks. It is so much easier and quicker to load a couple of kayaks on the T-Bone than hooking up the trailer and then putting the trailer away. The lift into the trailer or T-Bone are both easy but the T-Bone on and off is much quicker and easier than dealing with the trailer. I have a shed full of kayaks so when taking more than four or so I use the trailer. As far as the truck racks, they only get used when hauling the travel trailer for a kayaking based trip. The lift up onto the racks is not as easy as the lift onto the truck bed / T-bone.

Follow up on original 5 star review. The ends of the crossbar are very sharp and could easily cut or snag skin or clothing. Basically cut the crossbar and left the sharp ends exposed. I filed down the edges with a metal file. The plastic insert was broken on arrival and Boondox wanted $15 to ship a new strip, a real letdown after spending $230 for a bed extender. I decent product marred by a easily fixable flaw and lousy customer support.
