I was a little taken back by the box the Bending Branches paddles came in but when I opened it on Christmas the quality of these just popped instantly. I was absolutely amazed at how light and comfortable they are to hold as well as the contour of the blades. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who spends time on the water... 100% worth the price !!!
Bought the angler pro 240 raptor color. Previous paddle angler ace. New blade design is far superior to previous models. The fiberglass blades on the pro are very stiff and alow great power without flexing like the nylon blades on my old angler ace. They are meant for open water and are not durable enough to push off rocky creek bottoms like the nylon blades which are extremely durable. The angler ace is the best paddle for the money, but if you have a large heavy fishing kayak, the extra power, and lighter weight of the pro makes it totally worth the price increase. I am 5’10, use a old town predator 13, in the high seat, and paddle high angle. The 240cm is good for high angle paddling but if you paddle at a lower angle go for the 250cm.

Do you carry these in your Houston store. Would like to go get the feel for one. Currently using a werner 240 low profile paddle on my new compass and it seems like it feels a bit short.

Thanks for your question! This paddle's blade shape would be more suited to high-angle paddling, as the rounder shape would allow one to catch more water as you paddle. However, this paddle is available in longer lengths, which can be used for low-angle paddling and have a bit more versatility.
