Beautiful paddle and well made. Can't wait for the snow and ice to melt to get back on the water.

A beautiful, light weight, top of the line paddle. Nicely finished wooden blades enter the water quietly and give you unusual sensory feedback that is lacking in other plastic bladed paddles. The longer length of this one allows a stealthy entry when seated in the stadium seats common to the Jackson and Hobie kayaks. I also like the reinforced edges when used as a push pole while stalking the flats. Get yourself a quality paddle and you will not regret it!

This is my first yak. I know it is unreasonable to expect a kayak to preform well in every category and the Slayer XC holds true to that , however, this kayak is versatile, stable and comfortable. I can’t say it’s fast. While paddling at a moderate pace I maintain about 3.5 mph. IMO, Floating slowly down the river while you fish is a good thing and it handle chop well. On the other side, in lakes being slow is not so nice. I’ve had my Slayer XC for about a year and have enjoyed it very much. Now it’s time for a motor!
