The AquaBound Sting Ray Fiberglass Kayak Paddle is an entry-level paddle that delivers elevated performance and durability. These paddles are ideal for the recreational kayaker who enjoys day trips, fishing, shore exploring or exercise. Paddles come with standard (two-hole snap button) ferrule system with 60-degree RHC and 0- degree feathered positions. The Sting Ray features tough, fiberglass-reinforced abX II blades. The Sting Ray is an excellent all-purpose paddle with a blade shape that is silky smooth through the water. The Sting Ray paddle, with a more slender, yet durable blade, is ideal for those wishing to extend their trips a little longer. The fiberglass shaft offers a nice flex and feel in the water. Lighter than aluminum, it is warmer on your hands on a cold day.
0 and 60 degree snap button ferrule or Posi-Lok adjustable ferrule

Good value in what should be considered a quality beginner's
paddle - worth the money over entry-level paddles.
Target audience: low-angle paddling (touring), smaller paddlers,
higher cadence, longer trips.
The weight is a noticable improvement over anything aluminum,
and the narrow dihedral blade (with minimal spoon) is easy to
move through the water - it doesn't generate big power, but if
you're working on an efficient low-angle stroke, or you're not very
strong (yet), it's a nice easy pull. You won't win any speed
contests, but will still make decent progress and you can swing this
for hours on end without much fatigue. Stronger paddlers, high-
angle paddlers, or those doing shorter trips will probably want to
opt for something with a fatter blade. Construction is solid.
This is the 2nd Aqua Bound paddle I've bought in a month, but
that's a good thing!! I first bought a 220 cm Stingray but found it
to be a tad too short for me and the width of my kayak. My
daughter was more than happy to take it off my hands to replace
the generic paddle that came with her kayak, and I ordered a 240
cm. I haven't taken it out yet, as we've had rain in central Ohio for
20 consecutive days, but I'm sure it will be fine at this length.
The Aqua Bound Stingray fiberglass extremely light and
comfortable in my hands and the two piece break down makes for
easier transport and storage.
Should I ever find myself in need of a new paddle, I will absolutely
be going back to ACK for another Aqua Bound. Fast, easy ordering
and shipping from ACK. Would definitely recommend to anyone
seeking anything watersport related.
Wow!!!! Our two aquabound sting ray paddles just arrived this
morning and like kids with a new toy, we put the kayak into the
water here in the Florida Keys, and went out for their maiden
voyage. We were using some heavy, antiquated paddles that we
purchased for our first sit inside kayak and I cannot begin to tell you
that the difference in weight, handling, and ease of paddling was
huge!!! These sting ray paddles are great for the money and are
golden! Ironically enough, our maiden voyage included two
enormous rays that swam under and alongside our kayak...lol..a
real tribute to these sting ray paddles. They are excellent and so is
ACK for their swift and great delivery. A+++++
I bought this AquaBound Sting Ray paddle in a 220cm. Took it out
yesterday for the first time. Very lightweight and comfortable,
however, I found that the 220cm is just a tad too short for my kayak
width and paddling style. So the 220cm goes to my daughter, who
tried it yesterday also and loved it, ,and I am back today to order a
slightly longer one! Great buy!
I order this paddle to use for a recent paddle to on of the Islands off the coast of SC. It arrived ahead of schedule and in plenty of time for the trip. It was perfect for the trip as we had to paddle against a strong head wind and the light weight was a big help along with the feathering. I am looking forward to using it on many more paddles.
Great paddle. Very light and fits hands well with
little fatigue after several miles of paddling. Much
better than the aluminum shaft paddle that I tried
first
