Love the kayak easy to operate and has a good amount of space
for equipment. how ever i believe as big as the boat is a
promotion with added wheels would be great as t is a large boat
and can surprise an individual with its weight. i will be purchasing
the landing gear in the next few months. A word of advise to any
one thinking of buying this kayak it is large i load it into the back
of an f 350 and it hangs out 5 feet so be prepared to use a trailer
or the bed extender and get the landing gear other than that i love
the kayak and enjoy going around fishing in it.
Titan 13.5 bought 2 for my son and I for flounder fishing in NJ. Stable
and turning are fantastic. We added a trolling motor for back up power
after a long day. The pedal drive is great also with smooth handling.
Worth the price and very happy with the staff at ACK with the whole
process.
Stupid stable craft! Comfort out of this world in the world of
kayaks.. had a predator 13 I thought was great.... That was till I
got this big boy... Will be doing some offshore fishing out of this
rig. Want to design a tent cover for over night fishing. Yeah it's
that dam big.. push the seat all the way back on rails and you got
room to lay down in it.
Great work native on this craft... Going to be ordering the 12ft for
my wife.
The Native Titan is indeed a "Dream Boat", pun intended! My
wife and I own three Native Watercraft Propel Drive Kayaks. We
have a 10' and 13' Slayer propel and now the Titan. We fish on
Lake James in Western North Carolina and have used the Slayers
for almost two years. They are great kayaks but as a fishing
platform the Titan is hands down the most comfortable. It is very
spacious, turns wickedly fast, much faster than the Slayers. It is
super stable. I am 67 years old, 6'3" tall and weigh 200 lbs and
am not as well balanced as I used to be. I can go from sitting to
standing quickly and safely. I can stand and fly fish easily. The
boat has a rock solid feel to it. It is well appointed with great
horizontal rod holders & clips, built in cup holder, huge front &
rear storage areas. Covered front hatch. I purchased the Lizard
Lick color. Beautiful finish on the boat. Native addressed the
cavitation issue which affected previous boats by shortening the
prop length and increasing the twist or pitch on the blades.
Kudos to them
I purchased all three of our Natives at Diamond Brand Outdoors
in Asheville, North Carolina. They are less than five miles from
the Native factory and Diamond Brand and Native have a demo
program where you can take a demo out for a day to try it out. I
demo-ed the Titan on Lake James prior to purchase.
I trailer our boats on a Malone Micro Sport Trailer ( also a great
product). Get yours at ACK
This boat rocks! Rock solid! It is well worth the money for it's
comfort and efficiency.

My wife & I have three Native Kayaks. The 10' & 13' foot Slayer
Propel & now the 13.5' Titan. We live near Asheville, North
Carolina and do most of our fishing on lake James. Having used
the 10' and 13' propels for almost two years, I was keenly
interested Native's Titan claims. We bought all three from
Diamond Brand Outfitters in Asheville( superb store & staff)
which is less than five miles from the Native factory. Diamond
Brand & Native together have partnered in a demo program
where one can take a kayak home for trial prior to purchase. I
had the opportunity to try the Titan out on Lake James and was
aware of the cavitation issue before my trial run. Let me say first
off that the Titan is a dream boat pun intended! It is very
spacious, rock solid, great rod storage, turns on a dime (much
faster/sharper than the 10" & 13" Slayers) and I can stand up
and fly fish with ease. I am 67 years old, 6'3" tall and weigh 200
lbs and don't have the balance I once did so being able to stand
easily and safely means so much. Now, in answer to your
question: in my trials the cavitation gurgling noise was quite
noticeable. At slow bank traversing speed the noise was very nil
to non-existent. At channel crossing speed it was annoying;
however, not annoying enough to prevent me from purchasing
one. I figured I'd go ahead with the purchase and hope Native
would step up and offer a fix for the cavitation. So, I had
Diamond Brand order me a Titan. I trailer my boats on a Malone
Micro Sport Kayak Trailer( great product also). The Titan came
with the Propel Unit sealed in a box. The first thing I noticed was
the writing on the box which said "Propel Unit for the Titan".
when I opened the box I could see that Native had redesigned
the prop specifically for the Titan. They shortened the prop length
slightly and increased the twist or pitch on the blades. I took the
boat out on Lake James and noticed right away that the
cavitation issue seems to be solved. The Titan is not quite as fast
in channel crossing as the 13' Slayer but one wouldn't expect it
to be considering the added weight, length, and width. Let me
just say, all around "This boat rocks"! Great fishing platform.
Kudos to Native for their fast fix. If you go to Asheville be sure to
check out Diamond Brand Outdoors.

A:
The Titan 13.5 is incredibly stable and should perform well in the Gulf of Mexico or Atlantic providing conditions allow for it. With a kayak this size, one thing to keep in mind is that it may be difficult to right the boat in the event of a capsize. It's unlikely in such a wide boat, but the ocean is not always a predictable place.
