Its a great kayak and a great
package. The service and
price was awesome. Having it
delivered to an address versus
a freight depot was huge.
Especially in rural Michigan -
it saved a 4hr drive. I would
highly reccomend ACK!

The tarpon 120 is great. They
didnt install the flush mount
rod holders in the back so i was
pretty disappointed.
sorry about the oversight Tyler. We strive to be better than that.

This is my second kayak outfitted for fishing and
there are things
that I really like about this one. For one thing,
I got the light
lime. I like it. The hatches are top notch. The
kayak is fast and
tracks well. It travels well even with a beagle
on board (that
takes a plunge now and then). I like to paddle so
I wanted a
kayak that would fill that interest. I am well
satisfied. The work
AKC did to put the package together was excellent.
The
excellent paddle and pfd make this an awesome
deal. The
shipping is incredibly fast and the packaging is a
work of art. All
the good things others say about Austin Kayak
Company is true.
The service can't be beat anywhere.

Kayak was delivered right to my garage and freight truck driver patiently waited for me to thoroughly inspect kayak to ensure no damage. It was very well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. It's a great kayak package and those who have seen kayak are really impressed with its features. I've been waiting for the mighty Allegheny River to recede to more normal levels before hitting the water. I can't wait! CT

I'm new to kayak fishing, but so far I'm loving my Tarpon 120. I've been out on a bigger, slower moving river, and I've had the kayak on a much smaller river with many areas of swift water. The kayak handles very well in both scenarios and is very stable for fishing. It seems plenty fast in open water, and tracks straight. The seat is perfect for me. Storage area is great with easy access in both places (I even stow out of use rods). I'm guessing I would have done better with a 14' kayak if I was going to use this strictly in the bigger rivers and/or lakes, but for the multi-purpose use I'll put it through, I think I bought the perfect kayak.

We received the kayak quickly and in good condition. The price beat the socks off the local competition. We used it on vacation, and we all enjoyed it. We added a rudder, which I would never fish without (helps keep the angle of the kayak where I want it when windy). My son used it most, and caught a lot of fish out of it. Wish I could post a picture of him and a redfish in the yak....but no way to do that here. My wife wants one now to add to our fleet (which will make 4 Wilderness Systems yaks - all fishing pkgs). Will probably make the plunge in another Tarpon, either the 12' or one smaller, but probably another 12' since we fish in-shore flats for redfish and trout. We bought another rod holder to make it closer than the one provided in the package. The handles on the side of the boat make it much easier to move than using the end handles. The life vest is really nice, it is not easily seen in the pics, but there are zippered compartments on the front - good for keys, hooks, etc. Just wish it was a little lighter, but getting in and out of this is very safe versus a sit-in.
