ACK Review: Here is another item I was dying to see hit the market. The Seattle sports catch cooler works as a standard cooler that can sit in the tankwell or attach to the deck. Inside the cooler is a catch bag that you can put fish in and keep your cooler from smelling fishy.

This is the best fish bag I've used for kayak fishing. I fill it up with a large bag of ice and it keeps cool the entire day. The inner liner keeps your fish from sitting in melted ice, and the liner is also removable for cleaning.

I like the product. Will be sufficient on float trips where the trolling motor and battery are not required; however, it takes up a lot of valuable space on the yak where other stuff is often required and I doubt I'll be able to use it much on lakes.

I needed a cooler for drinks and fish on river trips. I thought this one would do it. Unfortunately, it doesn't keep things that cold. It's also awkward to put a squirming fish in it. I usually have to get out of the boat to get the fish in. My drinks stay cool, but never cold. The insulation is too thin to do the job.

The Seattle Sports Catch Cooler 20 Fish Bag is an excellent product! I surf fish in an area limited to bicycles only. The narrow bottom of the cooler fits perfectly into my bike basket. I have routinely hauled out 5 black drum, at 2 to 3 pounds each, and a legal redfish in the 3 to 4 pound range. Before starting my fishing expedition, I fill the cooler insert with about 5 to 8 pounds of ice. It works very well for my purposes in northeast Florida, where September temperatures average 90 degrees. I would buy another one if this one ever wears out.

I picked this up about a month ago looking for something to keep the occasional fish for dinner. I have to say after several usages that this product works extremely well. Using the flexible ice packs from the ice pack store http://www.icepackstore.com/ This product keeps ice all day in direct sun keeping my catch cold all day and not spoiling. I'm going to buy another for my drinks and food items.
