Decided to make a change from a carbon straight shaft to the Fishstix...while it took a time or two to get used to the change of a bent shaft, the end result has proved to be fantastic. The lightweight, ergonomic design has eliminated fatigue and hand callusing. On-the-fly adjustable feathering makes those windy days a whole-lot easier. I would highly recommend.
I've had this out 3 times now and can't believe I didn't buy one sooner. It's so light that I can't go back to my old paddle. The camo pattern is cool and well done and the adjustable lock is great. I highly recommend this paddle.
I have been using this line of paddles for two years now. I have one of the old blue patterns that has a locking handle but these new featherlocks are incredible. I now have two of the camo patterns and let others use my extra so they can experience how great this paddle performs. You can even use a dime to tighted up the screw on the feather lock and I use mine in very shallow water digging into mud and Oyster bars. I think of a paddle the same way a flyfisherman thinks of his Rod. Its the one thing you are going to use the most, so you should get the most comfortable lightest and durable paddle you can find and this sithe one for me.
