Description: Hold position in shallow water by inserting the Hobie Stake-out pole into sand or mud. Fiberglass pole with metal tip, rubber grip handle and attachment line system.

ACK Review: These Hobie Stake out poles are so neat. They aren't to heavy, set in the ground soundly and the attachment line is a feature I never thought I would use as much as I have.

Review: I recently bought this along with a PA from ACK. The pole holds very well in water 5 feet or less (as used in the coastal marsh of S. Louisiana). Any deeper and you would have to "spear" the pole into the mud. It's light weight makes this technique pretty much useless. Also, water gets inside the pole and is hard to get out. Otherwise, if you are only using it in shallow water (<5 feet) it is great and holds very well. Otherwise, the heavier (and more expensive) Cajun Anchor would be the way to go.

Review: Stake out pole works well in waters of 3ft or less, but i found that a 6ft would work much better... I didn't realize until i started using the 5ft how much fishing I was doing at the 4ft depth.. I recommend at least a 6ft stake out pole..

Review: The Hobie Stake-out Pole worked wonders during a recent windy, Mosquito Lagoon, fishing trip. The wind was blowing pretty bad with lil' white caps and my friend Seabass tied his Yak to my Hobie Stake-Out pole and it held both of our Yaks just fine. I would definitely recommend the Hobie Stake-Out Pole, it does not flex like other stake out poles.

Review: Great tool!!! It is a little pricey for a stick, but it was Father's Day and I wanted it! Works great. It floats, but not too much. You can stick in in the ground so that the handle is under water and it hold very well, then just yank the cord when you want to move. Much easier than an anchor when in 1 to 5 feet of water. I just ordered the anchor trolley kit, so I can control which way I face while casting to the perfect spot.

Review: Wow - this is the sturdiest stake-out pole i have ever used. Strong - seems like it will take a beating and nearly impossible to break.
