It is just what I wanted. I
vacation in a Motorhome with
my wife and 11 year old
daughter. I hate it when I am
camping by water and have no
boat for fishing or just
playing so I looked for an
inflatable to solve my boating
problem. It is very portable
and easy to set up or take
down. My 11 year old daughter
can inflate it in under 10
minuites using the dual action
hand pump. It fits easily
under the motor home and is
very durable for as light
weight as it is. If you want
a touring kayak it is not for
you, tracking is not the
greatest. I fly fish out of
it and it is easy to manuver
to keep in position. I did
add a stadium seat in order to
get better back support. I
also added a few strips of
velcro and a couple of bungie
cords to hold down paddles and
fishing gear. For my purposes
it is perfect.

My only complaint is that I was told it could be inflated through one entry port; it requires 6!

The StraitEdge2 Inflatable Kayak is a great product over all. My only suggestion is that you re-look at the self bailing system. The "lip: on the plug does not allow drainage as well as it could. Just returned from a river trip with Boy scouts and it performed very well.

I bought his to take to the USVI and leave at my home there. Easy to check on plane, and store there when I am home in Minnesota. My only complaint is that the Velcro that holds the bow and stern covers on has come loose, and I am still working on something that works to glue the Velcro back on. I tried regular PVC glue to no avail.

Bought as a tender for 29ft sailboat. Very stable kayak. Can sit with both feet hanging over the same side. Have only paddled it solo; it is not a fast kayak solo, but two paddlers should move it a a good clip, considering how light
it is. Max load so far around 380Ibs with plenty of room for more. Tracks reasonably well, not as good as a rigid kayak, glide is not great. Turns very easily. Handles good size ocean swells/ wakes very well, even sideways. Not to bad in winds up to 15 knots. Very easy and quick to inflate/ deflate. Bulky and awkward to haul around folded for any distance- Fine for carrying folded for
anything less than a quarter mile ( ie across a field to the water). Much easier to maneuver on land when inflated. Appears very well made. I am very happy with it after taking it out x3. It is a good choice if you want a very stable, good load
carrying (rated to 500Ibs) kayak. If you want to do distance, recommend someone sitting in the other seat also armed (and willing) with a paddle.
