Customer Reviews

Great little boat. Outstanding customer service! I received a phone call shortly after placing my order from a customer service representative, she just wanted to know if there was anything else she could help with and told me what to expect from the shipping company. I certainly didn't expect that. Besides that, free truck shipping and it arrived within a week and I couldn't find a better price anywhere on the web. Thanks again for the great service and will be doing business with you again soon!
Live in Hawaii and ACK shipped the canoe here at a reasonable price. The Pack Angler is versatile just paddle or pack and go fishing. I use it to paddle in Hawaii Kai Harbor and Bay. The Pack is stable and even in 20mph winds and chop: it a dry ride. Most kayaks in the > $1000 range are heavier and have less room. The mid - level seat allows paddling with either a canoe or 240mm kayak paddle. With a 550- 600 pound rating you can carry heavy and bulky gear. Then consider pack's weight 33 pounds. Easy to lift on my dock and carry to storage shed or car top. $20 for canoe blocks and straps to car top. I must agree a kayak is faster and less affected by wind but at the end of the day 39 to 54 pounds is tough to drag around. Old town products are well built and high quality weather you buy a canoe or kayak. I would recommend the Pack Angler or any old town product and Ack customer service-The Best!!!

Light to handle, loading and unloading. Agile in water. Exactly what I had in mind. For me, a 5***** :-), Came with one blemish in finish,:-( jv Vlass

I recently replaced my 25 year old pack angler with the new one. It is a wonderfully light and maneuverable canoe. My only problem with the newer design is the seat. I was used to the former cane seat with the back support and now have the kayak style plastic seat. The angle of the seat bottom slopes forwards and I am constantly battling to stay fully upright as I am sliding off the front of the seat. I am considering swapping the seat out for the cane seat style. I hope this is not too difficult.
