This is a very stable boat and probably well suited to larger paddlers or fly fishing buffs. It does not paddle very well in the wind or current however. I would advise using a longer paddle than normal. I would say a farm pond or small lake are best options for this boat. The main downside to this boat is it is extremely fragile. I dropped the bow of my boat from waist high elevation. The bow of the boat now has multiple cracks in it. I am working with an auto body repair shop to try and fix the damage. The manufacturer advised me to trash the boat and buy a new one. Since the damage is above the waterline I am going to try and repair this however. This boat has a lot of fishing potential, but anyone worried about the possibility of ever dropping this boat should probably seek a more durable option.

I kept the first advertisement that I ever saw for the Adios on my desk for over a year before I finally pulled the trigger! I am more than pleased with my choice. I have been fishing from kayaks for 15 years, and own several. The Adios is exactly what it claims. Having a sit-on-top fishing kayak that you can walk around on like a john boat really is the best of both worlds. I gave the Adios 5 stars because i was mentally prepared for what I was purchasing. I had my rigging and accessories already planned out. The only deductions that I can give the Adios not its fault. It does what it claims to do. However, at a steady paddle, it is not super quiet. It has some hull slap, and the scuppers gurgle quite a bit. Thats not a slam...it is what it is. Ill trade a little noise for the stability. And, if you paddle offshore, even one footers are going to come over the bow. Be prepared for that if you are putting yourself in that kind of situation. Please dont take those previous comments as complaints. I have no complaints about the boat, and ACK, as always, did an awesome job of shipping from Texas to Virginia. Everything was trackable and on schedule, and my kayak arrived at my house well packaged and damage free. I cant say enough good things about the Diablo Adios or ACK. Keep up the good work, and thanks again. Ron Romanosky Richmond, Va. 08/06/2012
