Have used this once and it was an obvious
upgrade from my former paddle. These are
a little heavy but I use my feel free moken
lite primarily for fishing inland lakes and
rivers and not touring or rough waters .
Could really feel this paddle dig in when I
needed to make a quick correction or when
picking up the pace. Good paddle for the
price

Great paddle and price
especially when getting the
15% off accessory discount. I
had never purchased a paddle
before and decided on this one
after reading other reviews
and checking prices locally.
I ended up buying three of
them. It is light,comes apart
easily for transport and
storage. I used the ACK guide
to fitting the paddle and glad
I did because I probably would
have purchased ones too short.
I bought two 230cm and one
240cm for my 6ft son. The
230cm works for me 56 and my
59 son but we could easily use
the longer paddle as well.
Our kayaks are around 30 wide.

Purchased with an Advanced
Elements Lagoon 2 Inflatable
Kayak and my partner and I
have been satisfied with it,
but cannot say that I have a
lot of experience with many
other paddles. We are 5'5" to
5'8" and the 230cm size was
fine. Even though this paddle
only separates into 2 parts,
it had a larger paddle surface
area than the paddle that
separates into 4 parts, so
chose this one.

Seems like a good paddle. I
don't have alot of paddling
experience, so I can't give an
expert review. The paddle
makes the kayak move foreward,
and I have been lead to
believe this is a good paddle
characteristic. It's pretty
light, floats, and has 3 angle
settings for nuetral,
southpaw, and normal people.
The grip area is slightly
flattened so you can feel
where the blade should be
without having to look. Only
complaint is that there is no
grip padding, so I think I'll
add something there. Again,
I'm no expert, but I like it
so far.

Decent paddle overall, make
sure you order the correct
length. 230cm is short for

else's leaked?, I somehow got
water in one half of paddle
while riding waves in Lake
Michigan.
Water should not be able to penetrate inside the paddle shaft, please contact us for a replacement in these situations.

Good paddle for the price. The paddle is pretty stiff but that does good for pushing off the bottom. I'm not a huge fan of aluminum but it doesn't seem to bother me much with the whisper for some reason. The drip guards are useless with a stroke like mine. When I dig down and my paddle is completely vertical I get water all down my arms and legs. It's a good concept but if others paddle like me it won't help much.

An incredible deal for the price. I put over 450 miles in a little over a year on my first Whisper Dream paddle before I broke it climbing a tough little rapid at low water levels on the Saluda River here in Columbia, SC. It's great for both river and flat water paddling, and holds up well in normal conditions. Breaks down easily to half its length and is remarkably sturdy. I'm a repeat customer, looking forward to hundreds of more miles in my kayak under power from this paddle.

I really like my paddle! It is not very heavy and I am able to go fast or slow and move around quite easily. My only complaint is that I need a longer paddle. I may have missed this information on the website, but I didn't see any guidelines for paddle length. I am only 4'11" so I ordered the 210 cm paddle, but my kayak is 30 in wide. The paddle rubs along the side of the kayak. I am going to order a 230 cm one, I think. If this information is on the website, my apologies. If not, it might be a good addition to help people choose a size.

We bought two pair of 230cm Bending Branches Whisper paddles and we are absolutely satisfied. I normally don't give anything a perfect score, but based on the price, I felt I had to. They are light and definitely strong enough to paddle on our lake. Our first time out with them, we paddled just over two miles and these were effortless. For $59, I would recommend these to anyone needing a recreational paddle.

Very nice paddle for kayaking on the New River. I have been well pleased. If there is any drawbacks at all, its the drip rings. They sometimes don't catch all the water from coming in. But other than that I would fully recommend. Thanks ACK for another great product!!!

Very nice paddle and works great for river paddling!! We have used Field and Stream paddles in the past, but after using this one, there is no comparison!! Best paddle out there for the price. Thanks ACK for great customer service.

Love this paddle. We actually have 4 of them. We were kayaking in the Mangrove tree tunnels off the inter-coastal in Bradenton Florida and due to high water levels were very close to the trees above. The fact that the paddle came apart made it easy to use only one side and maneuver better. Great flexibility for use! Very durable.

My wife and I are novice kayakers and got this paddle with our Redfish 10 packages from ACK. The BB Whisper Dream 230 paddle works very well for us. The two piece paddle goes together easily. Is lightweight, generates a lot of power on each stroke. I'm sure there are better more expensive paddles out there but I can say this paddle works great and is of great quality for the money.

I purchased this $59 paddle to replace a $60 wooden paddle that my son broke one day while kayaking. When I tried it, I was amazed at the quality for that price. The two piece aluminum shaft snaps together easily and has almost no play. The drip rings are not adjustable, but they do an excellent job of keeping water off my hands and out of the boat. The black hand grips have a slight oval shape, which keeps the paddle from slipping around in your hands. The blades are only slightly smaller than my other paddles, but large enough to get a good stroke and sturdy enough to push off of rocks or a sandy bottom. It is not quite as good as my $250 carbon-shaft Werner paddle, but I like it as well as as my $125 fiberglass Werner paddle and better than the $125 Aqua-Bound paddle that I nearly bought instead. Overall, this light-weight paddle is an excellent buy -- I've now bought a second one for a spare.

Good entry level paddle. Can we get it in earth tones like the kayak? I used camo tape on all the aluminum to eliminate reflections.

This paddle handles well. I would not hesitate to buy an additional one. I am somewhat unhappy with the changes made to this paddle (it's the 2nd whisper I have purchased and does not compare favorably with the 1st.) Would prefer the drip rings to be adjustable instead of molded into the paddle itself.

I did my research on paddles before buying this one, and it has everything much more expensive paddles have. I found it to exceed my expectations in every way, especially the great price! The 240cm works like a dream on my Mad River Adventure Canoe, even solo. So much so, I'm going to buy another for my wife!

I got this paddle with the Tarpon 100 package. This was the only part of the package that I was a little disappointed with. The paddle doesn't feel too durable and I am reluctant to push off of the river bottom with it. The price is right though. I'm going to keep it as a spare in my boat because it is small and lightweight, but I am planning on purchasing a nicer paddle.

Paddles work great. little tight to put together. my girlfriend can't do it on her own and i have a heck of a time as well, but once the paddles are locked they rock.
Really good at pushing back cottonmouths as well ;)
lightweight, strong, good for pushing off sandbars, comfortable to use. no problems.
4 stars and not 5 as i am sure there are better paddles out there, but they would cost a lot more.

This is a great starting paddle. It has great features for the money and will be my backup paddle when I find a high dollar paddle I like. The only drawback is that the drip rings are part of the blade and can't be moved down the shaft.

For a novice like me, this paddle is great! I've used half a dozen or so other paddles, and this one is by far the best. I was amazed at the power generated on each stroke, and it was very comfortable to use. I got a 230 for me and a 220 for my 14 yr old daughter, and she was able to almost keep up with me. I would recommend this paddle to anyone looking for a low cost, high quality paddle.
