Description: The Flush Mount Rod Holder works great in kayaks or any flush mount application for just about any boat. Installs easily with a drill, small saw, rivets and rivet gun. Can also be mounted with stainless steel screws (hardware not included).

ACK Review: I wish I had more flat areas on my kayak for more flushmount rod holders cause I would take more rods. These are perfect for trolling and moving locations easily.

Review: Very good price, easy install. Having the gasket come with the holder made it a no-brainer to go with this product. What impressed me was how quickly I received my product.

Review: This is a great product. Simply trace the inside of the gasket on the kayak then cut out. The holder slips right in and even if your cut is off the size of the gasket takes care of this. Great quality on both the rod holder and the gasket.

Review: Great product for the money. Easy to install. Very fast shipping. Nice addition to my Ocean Kayak Scrambler 11. ACK is the best online canoe and kayak supplier.

Review: A good product and easy to install with proper tools. Rod holders are a necessity if fishing from a kayak. There is just too much to handle: rods, paddle, anchor, lures, bait, etc.

Reviewer: Osvidar Rating: 4 Date: 09/08/2011
Review: Good gear at a great price. Be aware these are angled so they do not point straight up on a flat deck. I faced one aft and one to the side behind my seat. Also, plan for blocked access as they protrude 6 or more inches below the deck.

Reviewer: kansaskid Rating: 5 Date: 08/05/2011
Review: These are great. Just use the gasket as a template for the hole. You will need to ream the hole just a little due to the angle of the rod holder. Then drill the holes once the holder is inserted in the kayak. I used stainless screws and retainer nuts. (Just be careful when you cast that you don't hook the other rod behind you!)

Review: Quality product and very easy install if you take your time. Perfect fit for rods and/or a landing net. These have really help to upgrade my 12' WS Pamlico from just a rec boat to a fishing boat. Thanks to ACK for the great price, great communication, and quick shipping.

Review: Twice the price of white ones at Academy....we just wanted the black.

Reviewer: D. Dacol, Florida Rating: 5 Date: 09/17/2010
Review: I can only join my voice to that of the others that commented on this product. It is great! I installed two rod holders behind the seat of my old Pungo Classic. It looks like it was factory installed! I used the bolt and nut approach. 3 pairs of nut and bolt are needed for each holder. Really useful product.

Review: Excellent product! Just as described! The gasket is awesome and not "cheap". The tube is also sealed at the bottom to prevent h20 intake! I would certainly purchase these again!

Review: Great purchase came before it was expected, and easy to install. Should have got the screws from ACK. They were more expensive at Lowes.

Review: The flush mount rod holders that I purchased from Austin Kayak work great and are easy to install. Work well for trolling for stripers and the customer service is very good at Austin Kayak as well.

Reviewer: Michael Miller Rating: 5 Date: 10/08/2009
Review: The Flush Mount Rod Holder fit perfect on my 2010 Ride 135! Highly recommend it.

Reviewer: Obiwan Rating: 5 Date: 08/21/2009
Review: The Flush Mount Rod Holder is easy and fairly fast to install. They should include a template to speed up the necessary cuts in the deck. The actual hole needs to be more oblong than the gasket, so I'm assuming that everyone who installs these ends up making additional cuts after using the gasket as a template. Good price, quality.

Reviewer: David Carr Rating: 5 Date: 08/13/2009
Review: A great value, super easy installation. I only wish that the mounting screws had been included.

Reviewer: JB Rating: 5 Date: 04/24/2009
Review: Replaced the Attwood holders on my tarpon with these and they are very nice. End caps are a nice touch. Rod locaters in bottom are good for trolling rod. It would have been nice to get the stainless screws included. They fit the tarpon perfectly.

Reviewer: Jude S Rating: 5 Date: 03/30/2009
Review: Very good design and easy to install. I used the gaskets to locate the center, drilled a small pilot hole then used a 2-1/4" hole saw to cut the center opening (drilled at about the same angle as the holder to make an oblong hole). Then I positioned the rod holder in place to mark and drill the 4 fastener holes. The flange gasket and bottom cap are excellent features that make this rod holder a better value than others.

Review: The flush mount rod holder was exactly what i expected it to be and is very secure with the four rivet holes.

Reviewer: Mulletman ,NC Rating: 5 Date: 03/16/2009
Review: Works great. Easy to put in and cost half of what my friend paid for the same thing.

Reviewer: wc Rating: 5 Date: 02/12/2009
Review: Good service from ACK, good product; after receiving looked them over and decided to go with a Ram mount on my Tarpon to get the rods a little higher and have some more adjustability, but used one of these (with a little modification) on my surf yak.

Reviewer: Blue Fish Rating: 5 Date: 01/28/2009
Review: Works perfect / no problems with installation / key hole drill and my Dremel.

Reviewer: Ultimate 12 Rating: 5 Date: 12/31/2008
Review: Easy installation; great product.

Reviewer: John Stockton Ca. Rating: 5 Date: 11/21/2008
Review: The rod holder does what it suppose to do and does it well. I like the cap on the end- keeps water out of the boat. Instructions would have been nice from the manufacturer, but having made other such installations- radio speakers, cup holders, etc. it was an easy install. I mounted mine forward of the cockpit, in my Pungo 120- out of the way when paddling and I can troll too. Install screws or rivets should have been included.

Reviewer: Joe G Rating: 5 Date: 10/04/2008
Review: Because I had never used a riveter, I chose the recommended nuts and bolts to complete my installation. Additionally, you will need a (2 1/8") drill bit to properly mount the rod holders onto your kayak. But what a killer result! My boat looks like it came from the factory with those mounts. The professional looking results will impress all your buddies! Highly recommended...even for beginners!

Reviewer: James H Rating: 5 Date: 09/13/2008
Review: Easy to mount to kayak. Just trace the outline of the opening of the rod holder gasket (yes it comes with it) and then jigsaw the line and attach with rivet gun. That simple! Best price around and AK shipping is great. Thanks.

Reviewer: Bob Stuhr Rating: 3 Date: 07/31/2008
Review: Rod holders appear to be a quality product. Too bad the specifications for hole size and flat surface required for installation were not given. I cannot install in a desirable location on my Ocean Kayak Malibu 2 XL because the gunwales are narrow.

Reviewer: Brad Rating: 5 Date: 07/18/2008
Review: Purchased two of these, larger in person compared to picture. However, they are high quality and easy to install. Have not had a chance to actually use yet, but they have been installed and look good.

Reviewer: Darin Rating: 5 Date: 06/29/2008
Review: This was the first add-on to my son's kayak and everything went well. I got all I needed from Austin kayak (delivered the next day) and installed the rod holder without any problems. I am convinced that Austin Kayak has the best products at the best prices.

Reviewer: Murdoch Rating: 5 Date: 05/27/2008
Review: I purchased two and mounted them near the stern hatch on my Tarpon 100. Easy to install and works great. I did not order the mounting screws with it, but I liked how ACK called me before they shipped my order to see if I wanted to add hardware. Great service!

Reviewer: Jeff S Rating: 5 Date: 01/06/2008
Review: Great product. I installed 2 behind my new Scupper Pro seat. These are deeper than many, with a good bottom cap and my rods are secure with this product and your rod leashes. They were also less than 1/2 price of a very similar competitor.

Reviewer: Butch Rating: 5 Date: 10/18/2007
Review: Excellent! Works great!

Review: I have a Hobie outback with built in rod holders that were only about 5" deep.I used a dremel tool to cut out the factory molded in rod holders and installed these. Worth the effort! My rods are much more secure now. Great product.
