Bought the tether when I purchased my second gel seat pad. You can probably guess why I bought the second pad. When my boat spills now, I won't loose this pad!

The Skwoosh tether works as it is intended...I don't have to worry about losing my Skwoosh seat if my kayak flips over. I just clip it to my bow bungees and I am set to go. However, it should be included when you buy the Skwoosh seat...charge a little more for the tether and seat "package."

The tether does the job but is not absolutely necessary because the Skwoosh seat comes with a sewn in loop that you can run your own tether through. I used it for the first time this last weekend and took a spill early into the trip, so the tether got wet. My only complaint is that the lettering started peeling off after it got wet. The word "Skwoosh" is attached along the entire length of the tether, as the picture shows. The lettering is made of a vinyl type material and once it gets wet, it peels right off. I would have thought the manufacturer's quality control would have noticed this.
