It holds two kayaks easily - using one J holder and the other straight on. I like all the options I have now to load whatever I want on my VW - saves a lot on gas. Dont have to take the truck on long road trips. The downfall is the wind noise which kind of bothers me. I may buy the wind dam but, havent yet. Otherwise Im a happy camper - literally.
