Review:
It functions as advertised. Nice seat, and
adequate room behind the seat. Not hard to set
up, if you are accustomed to inflatables. Only
dissapointment were the scupper holes, in that it
is not easy to open and close them. Best to
leave them closed unless you expect a wave
over the bow. Once on the beach you can open
a couple of them near the seat, and lift the bow a
little and what water has accumulated will drain
out. The boat is on the heavy side, but it seems
very durable, a tradeoff I prefer.

Review:
I recently purchased this
kayak mainly for its
portability/space savings for
fishing. However, I was
unaware of the extra portals
along each side of the bottom
that when unplugged turn it
into a self bailing unit for
rec use on rivers or rough
warm waters. An excellent
thought out option. Im quite
pleased with this kayak,
especially at the sale price I
paid. It tracks surprisingly
well,inflates very quickly,
cleans easily and Ive had a
fair amount of fish slim and
blood in it, is very stable,
seems tough and has the
necessary well thought out
bells and whistles to make
fishing and carrying some gear
a pleasure. Space is at a
premium mainly because the
inflatable bags at each end
take up a fair amount of bow
and stern space, but are
important to the excellent
tracking ability because of
the pressure they put on the
metal bow and steam keels. Ive
already made a few changes and
add-ons to enable it to carry
a little more gear, including
a soft-side ice chest. The
removal utility bar is a great
feature for attaching rod
holders for holding rods duh!
but also for being able to
troll while paddling, or
lashing gear in concert with
the D-rings for just a nice
river run. Im 58 and slim and
the kayak fits me well spent 7
hrs. in it one day and has a
very comfortable seat with an
inflatable lumbar support. A
much larger and/or heavier man
or woman might want to test
the kayak first before buying.
I dont like giving items 5
stars because nothing is
perfect, but I cant give 4.5
stars and 5 is closer to how I
feel about it at this point.
