Works fine. Fits nicely in the
recess of my Tiderace Xcite.
Installation relatively easy. My
only complaint: When screwing in
the provided self tapping screws
(turning VERY slowly after drilling
proper sized pilot holes) I heard
a cracking noise, a half dime size
piece of the finish gelcoat had
chipped. Keep in mind this is a
brand new, 2012 Tiderace. Not a
happy feeling! Fortunately the
damage is only cosmetic and
can't be seen because it's hidden
by the compass housing.
Nonetheless Brunton needs to
mention this possibility in their
included instructions. I had no
problems drilling the holes.

Great Compass. I replaced the
mounting screws with stainless
steel machine screws. The
price was great and received
the item very quickly. I am
very pleased with the
purchase.

Ideal kayak compass if you
have the correct mounting
spot. I used the screws
supplied, but cut them to the
right length and ground off
the rough edges to prevent
drybag damage.

GREAT compass, A life saver if
you get caught in the fog. I
replaced the mounting screws
with machine screws and
acorn nuts so my dry bags
don't get ripped in the hatch.
