I agree with the comment well built as the unit itself is large but abel to handel a large lake fish. Looks funny holding a spinning rig of six pound test line. The unit will outlast me and my kayak!

Review:
I bought this rod holder to troll my rod parallel to the water. It has to be locked to not pop open and risk loosing the rod. Forget lightspeed. There is also a lot of flex in the holder itself. I had a Folbe that worked much better.

This works well, but it's huge! Way overbuilt. I'm not sure what it was designed for, but a baseball bat would fit in this thing.
