Order came in fast and ordering was easy. I love going to the ACK store in person because service is excellent and like seeing the newest gear in person. I live about 300 miles away so i decided to make a purchase online. The part was exactly what i needed to fix my mirage drive and installation was easy and strait forward. Fix only took about 10-15 min without instructions. all you need is a wrench.

If you go offshore frequently, do yourself a favor and be sure to carry an extra chain and a tool to replace it. I've witnessed or experienced at least 4 cable breaks when we've been between 1-3 miles offshore. If the wind or current is working against you, things can get serious in a hurry. Wish they were more durable but we put hundreds of miles on them a year. Price is a little nuts, but its Hobie so what are you going to do?

The product is just as advertised. I did expierence a delay as ACK inventory was gone and I had to wait over a week to receive my order. I also beleive there parts should be made to replace only the cable, not the SS chain. This would greatly reduce the price to the consumer.

Does what it should. The tricky part is replacing it. It works best if you tighten each end of the chain in and then pull it onto the guides, rather then putting the chain into the guide and attempting to tighten the end portion
