Review:
These sleeping pads (i've bought 3) are great for those of us who dislike air mattresses (that shaky, moving feeling). They have great isolation from the floor and they're thick enough for sleeping on a side without any pain on the hips. Definetly for car camping, too heavy and big for backpacking. They seem durable and its surface (sinthetic suede) is nice to the touch and not slippery. I left them with the valves open for a day for the foam to expand completly after beeing compressed for a log period. These are the best pads i have had or seen. Good luck!

I've used it once, and it inflated quickly and was very comfortable. As others have said, it would be kind of bulky for backpacking, but for bike- touring or vehicle based camping, it's great.

I could not have asked for a better camp pad. My son is an active Boy Scout and we try to never miss a camp out. Most camp pads I considered were not large enough, either too short or too narrow. The Kelty Basecamp came in multiple sizes, which allowed a large one for me and a small one for my son. Also, the felt covering helps to grip the sleeping bag from sliding off. This was the only one I was aware of with this feature. The material and component quality seems higher grade than others as well.

Very comfortable sleeping pad for our old bones. Much better than expected.

Construction appears to be solid and materials durable. The 2.5 loft feels as good as a nice spring matress. Firmness can be adjusted slightly by manually blowing a little extra air into matress after it has finished self- inflating, or softened by letting a little air out. I found it more comfortable and quieter than any air-matress Ive tried. Set-up is effortless, unfortanetly as with any self-inflating pad it does take some effort to compress and roll-up.

I have used one of these for the past 20 years. I have finally worn the poor thing out. There are some minor improvements to the older model. If previous history is any indication this pad will last longer than I will.

This pad is extremely comfortable. It is soft to sleep on, yet firm. The texture on the top inhibits sliding off the pad. It rolls up very easily, and is easy to stow because of its stow bag.
