This huge cooler is made for the EXTREME outdoorsman. It has supreme ice retention capability. It is made to handle the harshest of extreme abuse. The last time I was fishing in the Amazon River we had a tragedy strike us. One of the boat crew was killed miles from civilization. We were forced to put him inside the MASSIVE Yeti cooler and ice down his remains. It was four days later when we were finnaly able to get him to his village. The cooler did a fantastic job of preserving it's contents and providing our friend with "dignity" in this very unforgiving & hostile enviorment. It was put to the test in unbearable heat and really came through. The hose fittings for washout ease sure came in handy on this trip also. Needless to say that particular YETI cooler now has a permenant place on a fishing boat in the Amazon....I ran right out and purchased two more 155 quart models to replace that "BIG BOY". They aren't cheap but they are a great "LIFE or DEATH" survival tool you can count on in "NO MAN'S LAND".
