The Eureka footprint is a great addition to our camping experience mainly because it is much lighter than the tarp i was using before, which was never the right size (i had to fold under, etc.) -- the only caviat i have is that, despite what the video above states, this is NOT a "heavy duty tarp", it is actually very thin (it appeared to me from the finish of the folded footprint that it would be a thick, unstretchable product). When you pull it all out, it is quite thin, but it still provides good protection from rocks and water below because it is even a bit stretchy (it covers the ground contours quite snugly). We recently went camping in the rain, and it was suggested that we use this as a canopy, but if you were to clamp it to stretch it between trees, this would definitely tear. Nice replacement for a heavy tarp under your tent.
Got a two door tent with a
vestibule at both ends?You
may want to consider a larger
footprint than the tent floor
calls for,especially in high
country snow conditions.It
would not only take care of the
tent floor but provide a floor in
each vestibule(s) and blowing
snow for tents without
flaps. Can be laid out on your
carport,measured with a felt
pen,cut(if needed) and
grommeted for stakes.
