I like these gloves. They keep my
hands warm and I can wear my
comfortable gloves when it's extra
cold. My hands slide in and out of the
gloves easily and they slide on the
paddle easily without breaking a water
tight seal. I think I get my moneys
worth out of this purchase so I'm
happy.

The "reverse" neoprene is very good at blocking wind and the
long cuffs are easy to enter and exit as needed. The ability to
wrap the Toasters around the paddle shaft when not in use is
also a nice feature. If I were to want anything improved on them,
it would be to offer two cuff sizes. I am very small-framed and
the width of the cuff, tho easy to enter/exit, is very wide for my
wrist size, even over a dry top, so there is heat loss there for me.
Something a tad more narrow would be perfect. I may end up
modifying my pair myself. Otherwise, they are great!

I just received these yesterday and took them for a test drive at dusk in the fog. It was cold, but Southern California cold. They deserve the name "Toasters!" My hands were very warm and stayed dry. I used them on my Bending Branches paddle which has an ergonomic handle. It's a little more effort to get the velcro to fit around that type than a straight paddle, but it is possible.
Before I ordered I was unclear how they worked. The top part of the Toaster opens completely and velcros over the handle. They do not have to slide on the handle as it looked to me from the pictures. The black wrist fabric is fairly stiff so that it is easy to quickly remove your hands from the Toaster and plunge them back in again. These are great! I am a huge instant fan.
