Took this out for a 20 mile spin a few days ago just to test it out before I hit the trails with it, and I kind of love it. This is my first experience with the side pockets, and I thought they made a huge difference. Since it was only 20 miles, I didn't fill up the reservoir all the way, but I knew that there would be plenty of opportunities for refill along my route. This CamelBak is super easy to fill and refill on the run, it is lightweight, secure (both in terms of gear storage and fit), adjustable in all of the right places, and I did not have any chafing at all. For me, the best part was not having to take off the whole pack to access fuel in the side pockets. A great piece of gear that I am very happy with. Love it!

i ordered this pack about a month ago and when i got it in the mail oh it was love at first sight. Since then it has only grown on me, one word can be used to describe this pack, perfect. The Octane XCT has the perfect amount of storage for the running essentials, such as gels and pepper spray (just in case Cujo is feeling feisty) along with the obvious keys, wallet, and phone. Now about the weight of the pack, well that's simple too, its practically weightless. The pack is great for both running and biking, the straps are perfect for securing the pack so there is no bouncing. i literally have no complaints whatsoever with this pack.
