I bought this kayak unseen based only on research. I was looking for a kayak that could do well in flatwater and hold it's own in whitewater. What a great boat! With the skeg down, it tracks perfectly. With the skeg up, it will turn on a dime. With the semi-V bow it cuts through the water and maintains very good speed. Both primary and secondary stability are top notch. It's also really easy to roll. The Connect 30 is super comfortable and easy to set up. Storage hatch stays dry, but packing is tricky due to limited space and depth at the opening. I'm 5'9 and 165 lbs- and this is a good size for me. Any bigger and I would reccomend the larger size model.
