Loved how these worked while
they worked. Mind you, these
are not waterproof, so on a
rainy day or going through
puddles, you will take on
water. But they do an
excellent job of resisting wet
grass/weeds, and keeping out
dirt and debris. BUT: you
cannot replace the velcro
strips therefore, these are
only good for use with one
shoe. They come with just 2
sets of strips, which on first
installation, came off
immediately after 24 hours and
a rainy run. I tried through
MH and through 3M, who
manufactures the velcro.
Neither company had a clue
what I was talking about. The
company I ordered from online
was also of no help. Just so
you know, once you shoes are
retired, so are these!

I purchased these for the
Pikes Peak ascent and I'm
satisfied. I found the
adhesive to work well and the
velcro on the back doesn't
give up its grip. These are
simple and weight almost
nothing. I cleaned the back
of my shoes very well prior to
installation. It's very
important to order these
according to your shoe size or
you risk a poor fit. You can
still kick an occasional stone
under these, but it's rare.
I've already recommended these
to others.

Best gaiter for trail running I have found. The fasteners for the back of the shoe do not stick well on the shoe, and they only provide enough for two pairs of shoes. I wish they would include a 12" length of stick-on velcro like you can buy at the fabric store. Also, the front hook for the shoelace is too small for some shoelaces such as come with the Cascadia 5. For the money, they should fix these these things. But, overall, I would buy again.
