Scotty made rod holders in the past that were really easy to use. Sometimes I got tired of always having to pop out my mount to re-adjust it. The Scotty Gear Head Mount 428 allows for the easy maneuverability of the mount with just a twist of the gear head. It’s made my fishing more enjoyable. I no longer waste time taking my rod off of the mount, and tugging on the mount, just to take it off to re-adjust it.

I bought three of these because
one of the fist two I bought was
defective. That makes them
pretty expensive.
We are happy to replace defective product free of charge, just let us know and we'll take care of it.

Review:
This is a good product and was badly needed in order to swivel the Scotty from the top of the extensions. The one drawback is that rotating the rod holder takes both hands which is very inconvenient when your fighting a fish. The lock is cumbersome even with two hands and would be a task for many people.
