It does exactly what it needs to, you can lower (two different heights) of you foot pegs without having to put new holes in your kayak. If you are like me and you need to reposition you foot rests to make it easier to control the rudder this is a must have!

I purchased this along with a SmartTrack rudder kit for a Perception Carolina 14.5 kayak. A representative from Austin Canoe & Kayak recommended it. I installed the toe controls without the adjustment plate and they were too high and very uncomfortable. Then I used the adjustment plate and put the toe controls on the lowest setting, and they were just the right height and comfortable. All this package contains is two pieces of rigid plastic with hole drilled in them and four stainless steel bolts and nuts. I'm sure someone on a tight budget could make something cheaper, but this is light, sturdy, and installed in the Carolina in a couple of minutes. Well worth the money to me.
