Bought the ROP to mount my electronics on, and it works well for that. It is a hard plastic and if something goes wrong, is much easier/cheaper to replace than a Kayak hull. And the Groove system is a really functional feature that prevents a lot of hole- drilling into your boat. That having been said, this plate just seems horribly overpriced. For $40, youd think you could get aluminum, which would hold rivets better than this will. I gave it 3 stars mainly on the value of the idea, but only 3 stars when I saw the material its made from.

Review:

I use this product on my Native Ultimate 12.5 kayak to mount my rodholder and fish finder and it is sturdy and convienent. Its easy to mount your gear on and can be removed quickly for travel and storage.
