I like the leash a lot. It works great for runs with my beagle/pit bull mix. I enjoy the hands-free and she enjoys the freedom she gets. Great leash and excellent customer service! Got my leash extremely fast!

I am liking the Ruff Wear Roamer leash very much. I do a lot of hiking & it gives her a little bit of freedom since I mostly have to keep her leashed on the trails. It is also great for me as my hands are free to take photos or use my binoculars. Going through streams & over rocks, we both have a bit more freedom than a shorter leash! Service from ACK was EXCELLENT!

In general I am happy with the leash. The elastic provides enough resistance to slow down my dog (~40lb Australian cattle dog) before she yanks at my waist. It would have been nice if she was able to run all the way around me without having to rotate the waist belt around too. The clasp is hard to open one handed with gloves on.

I got the 2 leashes I ordered in record time. Shipped & packed well. I ordered them online to get matching leashes for my muts and was a little dissapointed when they came and the exact same color leashes were completely different.. one was a limish green... sort of with a neon twist... and the other was exactly as shown in picture. My large leash is already losing elasicity after just a couple weeks. The small one (for the yorkie) is doing ecxactly what I want it to.. give him a little leway wothout going all into folk's yards :)He can't pull like he used to. My big dog lab/shepard mix loves to be able to roam now :)

Its really nice for hikes when I can't let my dog off leash. Its very sturdy, but it is heavy and bulky for backpacking.

This is a great leash for keeping your dog under control on the trail. The only drawback to the leash is the clasp. The clasp is cheap, a carabiner clip like on some other leashes would have made this product perfect.
