Any first aid kit without these is incomplete. I have had to use two of these at two separate times to save fingers. They stop bleeding in cuts to the bone. Originally developed by the military for gun shot wounds, this technology is fabulous. Sure, they're more pricy than a gauze bandage but, they stopped bleeding two finger cuts to the BONE! Buy two or three and trust me, if you need them, you'll be glad you bought them. I just bought five more--I hope I don't need them : - ) but, if I do, they save a digit, a limb or even a life! Gauze doesn't do that.

Haven't used it yet.Got it just in case,it is an item you can't find at a drug store which doesnt make sense to me!My Doctor loved it when I showed it to her
