I like this paddle when Im
canoeing in places where I
have to change direction a lot
and dont need lots of power
because the symmetric grip
allows you to flip it easily.
I have an Arrow also, which is
my favorite on open water
because it has a wider blade
and a palm grip which is more
comfortable for repetitious
paddling. When tandem
paddling with my wife, she
uses the Traveler and I, the
Arrow, because the Arrows a
little too wide for her.

Have only been able to use the paddles a couple times but they are fairly light feeling in my hand...good mixture of flex and stiffness...and move the Bell Northwind in water quite well. After being out of paddling so long there is a lot I have forgotten so these were the perfect ticket for me to get my stroke back. Later I may go with a bent shaft but will keep these as backups...very well built, great design, palm swell fits nicely and visually appealing. Only giving average rating because do not have enough time on water for fully reliable evaluation..but so far there are no negatives to these paddles. Same for other BB paddle I bought as a companion.
