Great for rods with large conventional reels. As for spinning tackle - handle will slip out if strap is fastened behind reel, strap is in the way when placed ahead of reel.

Great value. Appears both durable and well made. I bought a couple chrome clips for $2.00 from Wally World and looped through kayak end of leash for easier disconnect.

this thing works great, the velcro attachment (that attaches to the rod) is very secure and I absolutely love the clip quick release feature. The only reason this is not 5 stars is because I feel like the coil could be a tad bit longer, but really not that big if an issue at all. I would buy this again...

What a good quality accessory even if a little pricey! I feel very secure now with my rods and reels being safe. The leash is very easy to manage and I can switch rods from side to side in a matter of seconds.
