I installed the Ultralight on my custom built cedar strip 13' kayak. They should call it a "turbo thruster". The combination of paddling and electric gives it such speed you feel like your planing. A very impressive piece of equipment. German engineering lives up to it's reputation. Evidenced in the manner that parts fit during installation. The exact wattage consumption readout allows the user to monitor the power consumption. I found that one of the really nice things about adding electric is my hands are free to pick up a camera and get that shot without losing control or momentum. Expensive yes, but quality lives long after the price tag fades. My only complaint is that the installation guide could be more detailed with a parts description, propeller depth recommendations, etc. I hear a solar panel will be available soon for remote charging capability.
